The 40ft high cube refrigerated container gives you 67 cubic metres of climate-controlled storage – enough for a small commercial cold room, a full vintage of wine, or three months of provisions for a remote mining camp. Same refrigeration technology as the 20ft, scaled up for the larger volume.

Construction is high cube (9’6″ external height) which is the industry standard for reefer containers – the extra height improves air circulation and lets you stack pallets two-high in most configurations. The refrigeration unit sits in the front wall, leaving you with 11.56m of usable internal length. Floor is T-bar aluminium for air circulation, walls and ceiling are food-grade stainless or aluminium, and the whole interior is sealed and insulated with 100mm polyurethane foam.

Temperature range is –25°C to +25°C, controlled via digital thermostat mounted inside the front wall. The unit cycles automatically to maintain set temperature, with alarms (optional upgrade) for power loss, high/low temp deviation, and door-open alerts.

Power is 415V three-phase at 32A. Running draw is 10-12kW when the compressor is active. For long-term installations, we recommend a dedicated circuit and RCD protection.

Used (Serviced) – $14,500 are ex-commercial refrigerated shipping containers, typically 5-12 years old, fully serviced and pressure-tested before dispatch. Expect cosmetic wear on the exterior, pristine functionality inside.

Hire – $130/day includes delivery, setup, and operational handover. Flexible terms, pickup when you’re done.
