Container Hire FAQ

How does container hire work?

Simple 3-step process:

1. Choose your container size and type
2. We deliver to your site (you pay delivery + first month upfront)
3. Monthly billing continues via credit card until you request collection

Minimum hire periods apply: 3 months for standard containers, 6-9 months for specialised units. You can extend indefinitely or convert to purchase.

You’ll pay: delivery fee ($250+ depending on location), first month’s rental, and collection fee (held on credit card). Monthly rental continues automatically. When you finish, we collect the container and refund the collection deposit minus actual collection costs.

Yes. If you decide to purchase during the hire period, we’ll credit up to 6 months of rental payments toward the purchase price. This is popular with customers who aren’t sure if they need long-term storage. Contact us to discuss purchase conversion.

The container itself is covered by our insurance. However, you’re responsible for contents insurance and any damage caused to the container during your hire period (excluding normal wear). We recommend adding hired containers to your existing property or business insurance.

Yes, we can relocate your container for an additional transport fee. Popular for construction projects that move between sites or residential customers who relocate. Interstate moves require special arrangements and repositioning fees. Give us 7 days notice for relocations.

Our minimum hire period is 3 months for standard containers. If you only need short-term storage, you’ll still be charged for 3 months. However, this is often more cost-effective than traditional storage units when you factor in accessibility and security. For longer projects, hire becomes increasingly economical.
