A 20ft refrigerated container is a standard shipping container with integrated refrigeration machinery mounted in the front wall. Set your temperature anywhere between –25°C and +25°C, and the unit holds it there – whether you’re storing frozen seafood at –18°C, wine at +14°C, or pharmaceuticals at +4°C.

The refrigeration unit is self-contained. Carrier, Thermo King, or Daikin machinery depending on what’s in stock – all tier-one manufacturers with service networks across Australia. The interior is food-grade stainless steel or aluminium with T-bar flooring for air circulation underneath your product. Every unit is serviced before dispatch, pressure-tested for refrigerant leaks, and comes with a 12-month warranty on the refrigeration machinery.

Power requirement is 415V three-phase at 32A. If you don’t have three-phase on site, we can supply a phase converter or recommend a sparky who can install one. The unit draws around 8-10kW when the compressor is running, cycling on and off to maintain set temperature.

Premium Used ($8,500) means the container has done commercial refrigerated transport work – typically 5-10 years old, fully functional refrigeration, structurally sound with cosmetic wear. We service every used reefer before sale: full refrigerant pressure test, compressor and condenser inspection, new seals where needed, and a test run at both extremes of the temperature range.

Hire ($85/day) gets you the same unit on flexible terms. Minimum one week, no maximum. Delivery, setup, and basic operational training included. Pickup when you’re done.
