The 18m+ container dome is a custom-engineered shelter for applications where standard spans aren’t enough. Aircraft hangars, heavy mining plant, bulk grain storage, industrial manufacturing, and large-scale agricultural operations. We’ve built domes up to 30 metres wide using reinforced steel trusses, tensioned fabric roofing, and container-based side walls.

Each project is engineered to spec. We start with your requirements – span, length, wind rating, end-wall configuration, access points, and site conditions – and design the truss, fabric, and foundation (if required) to match. For cyclone-rated builds in regional WA, we engineer to Region D wind loads and supply certification for council or client approvals.

The construction process is the same as smaller domes, scaled up. Containers form the side walls (or structural supports if end walls are required), the truss spans the gap, and commercial-grade fabric is tensioned over the frame. For spans over 18m, we typically use reinforced steel I-beams or custom-fabricated trusses, with additional intermediate supports where required.

Quoted on application – every project is different. We need site dimensions, wind rating requirements, access configuration, and intended use. Typical lead time is 6-10 weeks from design sign-off to installation.

Containers (if needed) are quoted separately based on configuration – some builds use containers as side walls, others use them as structural supports only.
